ROAD TRIAL EDUCATION DAY
Dawsonville, Georgia
|
Well, the day has come and gone and we had a great
turnout, and marvelous time. There were
about 30 Dalmatians on the property, and many other all breed dogs as well for
our CGC Testing, numerous spectators too!
|
|
 |
We opened out the day with a Road Trial/Coaching
Seminar and Demonstration presented by Road Trial Judge, Gayle Riggins. We had
many spectators along with members who watched the program. There were 24
entries for the Coaching Instinct Certificate and 2 Dalmatians entered for the DCA Coaching Companion testing. Both of the dogs who entered the Coaching
Companion Test passed! |
 |
|
Ch. Laurel's What the Dr. Ordered,
CD, RN ("Luke")
Ch. Monarch's Court Jester, CDX, RN ("Jesse")
Both dogs are owned by Angie & Steve. Angie, Luke
& Jesse did a terrific job and now have the Coaching Companion Certificate!! Woo hoo!! |
|
Gayle
was able to judge about 14 of the entries in the Coaching Instinct Testing,
unfortunately the rest of the entries were rained out! It was really
interesting to see how easily the dogs accepted the horse and just fell in where
they were supposed to be!! |
 |
|
Ceci (Flashpoint Dalmatians) was our all-breed
CGC judge and we had approximately 9 participate for their test. She did a great
job despite the heat and even did the last test in the pouring rain!!! Thanks to
Ceci and her helpers!
|
 |
We had a cookout, doggie cookies for sale, doggie massages, pools for the doggies to get cool and raffled off a 2008 limited education DCA
performance print. Everyone enjoyed the event and we hope to do our second
program of this type in 2009. |
|
A huge thank you to Gayle for traveling all the
way to Georgia to judge the coaching aspect of our day and to Ceci for being our
CGC judge.
